The size of the hoop you will need for your cross-stitch project depends on the Aida fabric you choose to work with. The three most popular Aida fabric counts are 12 ct, 14 ct, and 16 ct.
As a general rule, the recommended hoop sizes for each Aida fabric count are as follows:
12 ct: 11 inches
14 ct: 9.1 inches
16 ct: 8 inches
Please note that these are approximate recommendations and may not be suitable for all patterns. The right hoop size for your project is usually included in the listing descriptions.
The number of strands you will need for your cross-stitch project depends on the Aida fabric count you choose to work with. Here are the recommended number of strands for each Aida fabric count:
